Red Canoe Credit Union

Lending Center / Headquarters | Design Build

the goals

Evolve an existing back office facility into an engaging member contact service and lending center.

Project Background

Red Canoe Credit Union (RCCU) has occupied this main office for 20 years since it was originally renovated. To bring the member lending experience up to par with the recently created, award-winning branch brand, the headquarters lending center needed a major rework. Working with RCCU, a 20-year client, Momentum and EHS Design reconfigured personal spaces, storage and shared spaces increasing staff choice and improved efficiency. Also constructed were ‘right-sized’ loan closing rooms and meeting spaces while adding branded member resource and waiting areas.

Staff count was increased to include future growth using new systems furniture and better-organized circulation. High-density storage was integrated and sized to accommodate the shift to imaged records.

Reborn Retail Lending HQ

Reinvesting in the Longview, Washington community is natural for Red Canoe. The city of Longview, is, after all, part of the credit union’s roots. The capacity to efficiently reposition this valuable downtown asset is part and parcel of why Red Canoe continues to turn to Momentum after ten years of a successful partnership.

"I truly love Momentum. You always have our best interest in consideration with all you do for us.” - Debbie Malone, VP of Operations / Red Canoe Credit Union

Careful planning and phases of work enabled Momentum to complete the 8,000 square foot renovation while work continued inside the building, with construction taking place on evenings and weekends so the business operations never missed a beat.
