Wellness & Sustainability

Demonstrating Your Commitment to the People Who Work and Bank with You

Investing in wellness and sustainability efforts is a way that you can translate your brand’s commitment to your customers, students, and employees into something visible, tangible, and that impacts their lives in a direct way.

Momentum is a pioneer in wellness and sustainability with nearly two decades of experience delivering LEED Certified projects and delivering the first WELL Certified credit union building in the world. We have fully integrated the philosophy behind these certifications into our design and construction processes. Whether or not you decide to pursue certification, wellness centered and sustainable design will be integrated into every aspect of your projects.

How We Do It

Sustainability

We have developed a mature LEED Certification and overall sustainable design process that achieves sustainability with minimal additional costs. This is something that builds up cumulatively, from our LEED Accredited design and construction leaders and their extensive experience with sustainable design, sourcing, and construction methods to the pressure that pursuing sustainability that has pressured supply chains to become greener.

An example of our commitment to sustainability is our sourcing strategy. We do our best to source locally – as many materials as possible are source within 500 miles of our project locations and we reinvest around 85% of a project’s cost in the local community.

With our expertise, building sustainable branches and workplaces has become easier than ever for credit unions.

Wellness

Momentum takes a holistic result to wellness, guided in part by the WELL Certification guidelines. Wellness often begins and ends with a gym membership card and an incentive to get an annual physical.

We don’t believe this is enough. Through our wellness-focused design process we ensure that people using your buildings have access to fresh air, natural light, clean water, comfortable spaces, and a supportive environment. From circadian lighting systems and ensuring that sunlight reaches every space to limiting unwanted noise and ensuring that no monitors have glare, every single aspect of the built environment and the construction process to deliver it take wellness into account.
